Dr. Faisel ZamanInterventional Spine Physiatrist

Dr. Zaman is a fellowship trained, interventional spine physiatrist. What is a Physiatrist? Physiatrists are medical doctors that are experts at diagnosing and treating medical conditions that cause pain and limit function. Also called physical medicine and rehabilitation (PM&R) physicians, physiatrists provide a full spectrum of care - from diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation - to restore maximum health and quality of life. They often practice as non-surgical orthopedists and treat the entire person and not just the symptoms.
As current chairman of the Patient Education Committee for the North American Spine Society, and a former department head at the biggest hospital in the state of Utah, Dr. Zaman is a leader in his field, on the national level, with nearly 2 decades of experience. He was trained at the Penn Spine Center, at the nation’s first medical school, and arguably the best non-surgical spine program in the United States.
Like most of his patients, Dr. Zaman is a patriotic American, born and raised here, and lives an active lifestyle. He is a mountain biker, skier, and musician, and was recently elected to the board of directors of the AMA…the American Motorcyclist Association.
Dr. Zaman's goal is to safely return the injured individual, worker, or athlete, back to his or her prior level of function, productivity, or performance.
