Lauren Podina, MSPT, DPT, CKTP, OCS was born and raised in Houston, Texas. Lauren attended Huntington College located in Montgomery, Alabama on both academic and athletic scholarships. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Human Performance and Kinesiology with a Minor in Psychology in 2003. Lauren continued her education by attending Texas Woman's University School of Physical Therapy located in Dallas, Texas, where she earned a Master of Science Degree in Physical Therapy in 2005. Lauren successfully obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Texas Woman's University in 2011. Lauren became a licensed Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner in 2009 and a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy (OCS) in 2014. She has over nine years of professional experience which includes outpatient orthopaedics, in-patient rehabilitation, acute care, long term care and home health.

Lauren continues to stay involved with clinical education with both Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant Schools, helping to mentor future clinicians. Lauren uses a multidimensional, evidence based approach to patient care with focus on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise and modalities. She enjoys working with a variety of patients from athletes returning to sports to patients resuming their daily activities. Her focus is on the goals and expectations of the patient providing them with the tools needed to achieve their objectives.
